Elly Kasim Holds Nostalgic Concert with Titiek Puspa

The legendary singer of the 1970s, Elly Kasim proved her existence through her latest work. Elly is a Minang singer who has produced hits in her time. Some of Elly’s famous songs include Dindin Badindin, Ayam Den Lapeh, Bapisah Bukannyo Bacarai, Malam Bainai and many more.

Currently, Elly’s career in the music world has reached the age of 57 years. To celebrate, the 73-year-old singer will hold a concert titled “Towering 57 Years of Elly Kasim Berdendang”.

In the concert held at the Jakarta Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) Theater on July 29, Elly invited a number of musicians across generations to collaborate, including Titiek Puspa, Be3, Judika, and Rancak Voice music group.

The concert also involved artistic director Rama Soeprapto, choreographer Tom Ibnur, and music director Hendri Lamiri. Together with this creative team, Elly will present spectacular Minangkabau music performances, complete with elements of modern performances, lighting, multimedia, to musical orchestration.

Songs such as Kasiah Tak Sampai, Tinggalah Kampuang, Kelok 44, Bareh Solok and Ginyang Mak Tacih will be performed in various musical nuances, such as rock n roll, blues, jazz, to hip hop – source minangkabaunews
