The Minang Food Festival in Jakarta is filled with unique snacks such as rendang. But the rendang here is rendang in the form of packaging or modified rendang.
This red and black rendang packaging is made of thick paper like a food box that seems exclusive.
On this packaging box is written the sentence “Dunia Rendang, The Most Delicious Minang Food. There is a caption under the writing “Rendang Lung Kering”
This packaging is even more beautiful with a picture of a typical Minnagkabau gadang house plus a halal label logo.
Dunia Rendang stand keeper, Iin, told kabanews that this dried lung rendang can now be purchased in Jakarta.
Iin also said that he diligently promoted on social media as well as mainstream media. Some online media have also reviewed this rendang.
“We usually promote on social media and there are also online media that review,” said the veiled woman.
“There are runtiah meat rendang, lung rendang, sweet potato rendang, anchovy and egg chip rendang,” he explained to Kabanews, Saturday (10/12/16).
This typical rendang comes from Kenagarian Jopang Manganti, Limapuluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra.
Regarding the presence of this Dunia Rendang stand, the committee said that the purpose of this Festival is to introduce Minang cuisine from the typical or past, and Minang culinary that has been modified.
