The Minang Food Festival is already underway in Jakarta. This typical event located at Lapangan Banteng, Jakarta was lively.
The purpose of this festival is to introduce Minang specialties to Minang nomads in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas. This was revealed by the committee of the Minang Food Festival, Bobi Arianto, when interviewed by Kabanews.com at the event location in Lapangan Banteng, Jakarta, Saturday, December 10, 2016.
Bobi further said, the purpose of holding this Festival is to introduce Minang cuisine from the typical or past, and Minang culinary that has been modified.
Furthermore, said Bobi, all the places provided were bought up three weeks before the event.
For the committee, Bobi mentioned the Minang Children’s Community consisting of students, office workers and also housewives.
Monitoring Kabanews at the location, some unique and typical Minangkabau snacks can be found at this location. Among them are lontong sayur, lupis, lapek sagan, serabi, lamang maluo, lamang tapai, teh bandulan, kripik balado, karupuak jangek, sala lauak, cassava balado onion, taro balado, cassava balado merah, cassava balado hijau, karak kaliang, dice cassava, lento, kechipik jengkol, bungo durian, dakak-dakak, arai pinang, tojin jaguang, batiah bareh, kipang noodle, kipang kacang, rakik maco, rakik shrimp, banana sale, Rangkiang Coffee and others.
The festival, which takes place December 10-11, is also enlivened by several Minang artists and various other entertainment.
Not only crowded with visitors, the Minang Food Festival in addition to providing food and drinks is also a place for mass media “food” ranging from online, print and television media.
